| THE MAIN EVENT: THE 2004 SHARON VERSUS THE WORLD ALL-STAR SPECTACULAR |
| SHARON captain: nate tomko, pj & the ladies 2005 player of the year finalist led sbl in homers, average, runs batted in, psyche-outs, and assists and finished second in double plays. makes his 5th consecutive all-star appearance as a captain. terry shernisky, return of the weenises rookie of the year favorite had the best all-around season for a freshman ever. finished in the top 5 of every category while leading overachieving weenises to a 4th-place finish. shelley goodpastor, uncle jed's pocket watch 3-time sbl all-star and 2005 player of the year finalist had her best season to date, finishing with career highs in average (.715) and rbi (110). fomer all-star and rookie game m.v.p. jeff knight, uncle jed's pocket watch rookie had a hard time finding a home in 2005, seeing time on three seperate teams. still, had better numbers than most 5-year vets, displacing a number of former all-star regulars for the final starting spot. jon olsavsky, pj & the ladies two-time sbl all-star mvp will be appearing in his 5th straight all-star contest. finished with a career high in average (.620) and assists (3). billy weisberg, pj & the ladies will be making his fifth all-star appearance thanks to a solid contribution on both sides of the ball, and perhaps a nostalgia vote or two. captain of the reg. season champion pj & the ladies. |
| THE WORLD captain: matt mcclelland, team koopa troopa three-time all-star gets his first crack at captain. after taking the reigns of his team after week 2, mcclelland put up career highs in homers (14) and rbi (87), and double plays (19) to help guide koopa to a national conference crown. bryan frankovich, team koopa troopa 3-time all-star makes his second consecutive start. narrowly missed out on a plyer of the year nomination in 2005 with a 30 homer, .556 avg., 103 rbi, 35 double play campaign. jon biddle, the fupalooters 2004 all-star captain makes his third appearance in the summer classic. once again led the league in double-plays (82) while posting career highs in average (.493) and rbi (73). ben smith, train on ted's sister tot captain and 2005 player of the year finalist makes his first all-star appearance. finished second in the sbl in rbi (121) and third in homers (27) with career highs in every other stat category. mikey moroco, train on terry shernsiky appearing in the second all-star game of his 4-year career, moroco comes in defending game m.v.p. had a career high 43 double plays, good for 5th in the sbl, as well as a .596 average and 76 rbi. ben elliott, analisa goodthing the lone member of AGT in the all-star contest, elliott followed up his all-star classic first-team performance with his best season to date, leading his squad in rbi's, assists and double plays. |
