| SUCH A SAD TIME OF YEAR tho the season started out with a *blah* i do think we turned things around, and looking back this was a much, much more enjoyable year than the last few. unfortunately, this is the first day of september, meaning we have 8 full months before the first scrum of the 2006 sbl season. sigh. but fear not. once again, an sbl fall classic is in the works, probably for early october, so that'll give us something to look forward to. keep your eye on this site for news as it develops. in addition, i've finally gotten around to updating the site again. you'll find the scrum tournament and homerun derby write-ups completed, as well as the championship series stats and summaries. also, the "records and stats" portion of the dot com has been updated. finally, i want to extend a thank you to everyone involved in the sbl this season. somehow, no matter how fired up i get around week 7, it all seems to be worth the work when everything has been said and done. thru all the ups and downs, petty fights and all-out wars, i do truly enjoy spending my sunday afternoons with the baseketball crew. so, here we go: - a big thank you goes out to fabes, burger, schwank, katie shernisky, stud, ando, jimmy holl, clayton, p-rad, mike devito, ween, sami, hood, esenwein, mac, anna, teddy ballgame, fersuredude, heather, nips, kippy, jabidd, derek, terry hall, shelley, big white, billy p, elysa, aryn, tessa, the frankovich sisters, glack, jeff, sherry, pat nespor, k-unit, b-mac, dank, lee, erin, dlack, jamie, lenny, mikey chang, battyani, plack, dani, ben smith, bidd, condo and pat omalley (yes, them too), bill and tracy schliep, mrs and mrs gilliland, connie and mike moroco, the frankovich's, karen and john nespor, lorraine and jack knight, arvin and marlene weisberg, and ron and debbie hennon. and finally, the biggest thanks goes out to jon, billy, rando and pj- that one felt real good.- whew. |
