| SHARON captain: nate tomko, the sparkling wiggles the seven time all-star player and captain broke his own record for runs batted in this season with 177, and finished atop the sbl in homeruns (53), assists (15), double plays (101), psyche outs (9) while finishing in second in batting average. aryn christman, team double stuff making her second straight appearance as an all-star, aryn finished with a career-high 76 runs batted in while placing 8th in the sbl in average at .545, all while balancing what turned out to be the deepest team in the sbl in his rookie venture into captaining. terry shernisky, kathleen turner overdrive no player in the sbl did more for his squad than shernisky did this season. his offensive numbers (53hr, .659avg., 176 rbi, 8ast) add up to one of, if not the best seasons anyone has ever had in this league, and he put them up without the benefit of a consistently strong supporting cast. sherry also tipped in 79 double plays, good for third in the league. this is terry's third all-star appearance 3 seasons billy weisberg, pj & the ladies making his seventh consecutive all-star appearance, tied for top in all of baseketball, weisberg put up what was by far his most productive season to date. with personal bests in batting average (.508) and runs batted in (76), the hall of famer was the most consistent player on his squad.. terry hall, the screamin' seagulls the only member of the seagulls on this years all-star squad, terry 'the kid who only hit homers' hall makes his first-ever all-star appearance. set personal bests in rbi, games played, homers and double plays in 2007, with dps and hr good for fourth in the league. rando knight, pj & the ladies making his second consecutive all-star game- 6th overall- rando was a last-minute substitute for katie kelly. hall of famer set career bests in batting average and rbi in 2007. |
| THE WORLD captain: bryan frankovich, hot fuzz for the second consecutive year, bryan will be captaining the world team. he's a two-time defending all-star game most valuable player, and makes his fifth straight all-star game appearance. in the 2007 regular season, bryan placed in the top three in the league in homeruns, runs batted in, assists and double plays. mike moroco, hot fuzz a former all-star m.v.p., lack of playing time kept moroco from becoming the player of the year finalist many thought he would be in 2007. however, mike still managed to finish with 21 homeruns and 66 rbi, both in the top nine in the league in spite of only seeing action in 13 games. this is his 4th consecutive all-star game. jamie fabian, team double stuff a darkhorse to make this years all-star team, jamie was the beneficiary of some subpar seasons from some of the league's best as well as being one of the nicest guys around. after becoming the top pick in the 2007 draft, jamie shattered his personal bests in every single statistical category on his way to a first-ever all-star appearance. ben smith, the nappy headed hos though once again ben failed to duplicate his player of the year calibur 2005 campaign, he still finished in the top eight in the league in homeruns (16), rbi (72), and assists (5) while captaining his team to an 11-9 record. this is bens third all-star game. matt mcclelland, the nappy headed hos though the big man had a subpar season, at least by the former player of the year's standards, he still did more than enough with 6 homers, a .519 average, 56 rbi, and a personal best 47 double plays to lead his team. jamie moroco, the nappy headed hos making her first all-sar appearace since the sbl's inaguaral 2001 season, jamie was a replacement for pat lackey on the world squad. finished well above her career averages in every stat category in 2007. |
