| TRANSEXUAL HEARTBREAKERS 12 PJ & THE LADIES 0 (2 INNINGS) despite holding the 2004 version of jared clayton in check only one round earlier, the first edition of pj & the ladies had no answer for the perrenial all-star this time and once the realization of impending defeat set in, they made quick work of any sense of order in the game. while his donkey punch team, 8-7 losers to these same ladies in the preliminary round, seemed to be a much stronger squad on paper than the 2003 world champs, they lacked the unity of the heartbreakers. after 2 rounds of hot shooting and unwillingness to let the ladies rip them apart at the seams, clayton and co. found themselves with a virtual free pass to the quarterfinals. the scrum was perhaps the only part of the game that could even be considered a contest, tho the ladies won purely because nobody in the heartbreaker lineup was willing to scrum them. instead, the ladies ganghumped referee billy weisberg, a move that saw weisberg send both lepak and knight to the penalty box for the first half-inning. the heartbreakers pounced on the early 4-on-1 oppurtunity, lighting up big rando to 9 runs. elysa farrell led off the inning with a double and although rodemoyer's single was off the mark, he easily tipped in his own miss as knight and farrell battled under the hoop. clayton made the ladies pay, drilling his first homer to make the count 3-0. erin leyde made it 4-0 with a solo jack of her own, but it was far from over for pj nespor's crew. farrell and rodemoyer again went back to back from the single and double line, respectively and clayton nailed his second homer of the inning to extend the thb lead to 7-0. without a homer to shoot, leyde forfeited her shot for out number one. farrell hit her 3rd consecutive double and rodemoyer his third single. clayton moved in for a three-run triple, and although his shot was off, rodemoyer was in the right spot again, this time earning himself an assist. at the urging of clayton, leyde lined up the grand slam, but her shot fell well short and gave knight 3 attempts at the double play, which he eventually put in. fresh out of the penalty box, joel lepak wasted no time pissing away his teams grand slam, launching an airball the landed closer to his own feet than the hoop. nepsor managed to put in a double, but knight's double was nearly dunked by clayton for the double play. knight, in an effort to show his teammates what it was like playing against such a stacked lineup shorthanded, wedgied referee weisberg was sent to the sin bin for 3 innings. after watching the 4 members of the heartbreakers knock down 4 consecutive extra base hits to make it a 12-0 game, knight had seen enough and hopped up from the cumfiesta fieldhouse penalty box to attack farrell. as lepak and nespor joined into the fracais, weisberg was left with no choice but to rule the contest over as quickly as it had begun. clayton finished with a perfect 4-for-4 showing with 10 rbi, 2 homers and a d.p. farrell and rodemoyer drilled all 4 of their shots, as well. knight recorded the only lady stat, his first inning d.p. the contest marked the only no-hitter in sbl annals. weisberg was able to remove his boxers from his sphincter with the help of the sbl board of directors.
