SERBIAN JEW DOUBLE BLUFFS- 23 (6 INNINGS)

coming off a minor upset of nasty pillow, the ladies of '03 ran into a buzzsaw in the form of matt mcclelland's serbian jew double bluffs, the 2004 champs, falling in 6 innings.
while the ladies gave the bluffs a game for the first five minutes or so- including a jean-creaming scrum that four of the five lady members violate the beautiful shelley goodpastor while the other four double bluffs easily walked the ball over the line- the purple people eaters had too much firepower to be stopped in the first game of the tournament.
after a 2 up, 2 down inning in which nate tomko tipped in his first of 3 double plays, the ladies slamming of goodpastor seemed to have worked as her first shot went left and was put back by pj nespor for 2.  tomko connected on a middle triple, but mcclelland was psyched out by crist for the third out of the first to keep the game knotted at zero.
lenny crist led off the second with a single and was plated by the 2002 version of jon olsavsky's triple.  after nespor's errant single was d.p'd, knight banked in a middle homer to give the ladies a 3 run cushion.
facing a defecit, the bluffs removed their heads from each other's asses and got to work.  in succession, olsavsky, goodpastor, tomko and mcclelland rattled off extra-base hits to catch the anarchists at 3 apiece, and olsavsky drilled a middle homer to extand the lead to a pair.  goodpastor, tomko and mcclelland recorded their second hits of the inning to plate 2 more, but the rally died as olsavsky missed a single and goodpastor's final shot was d.p'd by big rando knight.  score after 2, bluffs 7-3.
after a pj nespor single scored lenny crist for the ladies 4th run and only score in the third, the bluffs put up 8 more on the strength of perfect 3-for-3 innings from mcclelland and goodpastor and a pair of 2-run homers from tomko.
jon olsavsky recorded back-to-back psyche outs on knight and crist and joel lepak, fresh off the bench, airballed his first shot attempt- a grand slam- to retire the ladies in 3 straight.
ben smith came in for olsavsky in the fourth and the bluffs offense missed nary a beat as they crossed the plate four more times, culminating in smith's 3-run homer.  had it not been for the timely double play by knight of tomko's grand slam miss, the defecit could have been much worse than 19-4 as the ladies headed to the fifth.
perhaps sparked by lepak's tear-jerking motivational speech prior to their at-bat, the ladies chipped away at the sj2b lead.  nespor, knight and crist hit doubles, and lepak somehow willed in a skyhook triple to plate 3, and following a tomko double play, knight hit a single to give the ladies 8 runs.
a 4-run bluff fifth was started by matt mcclelland's tip-in of a goodpastor miss for an run-scoring assist, and after tomko and smith hit 2-run and solo homers, respectively, the bluffs were looking at a 15-run lead and a chance to wrap up the game in 6.
the ladies, now realizing their time to goof off was fading fast, jumped on the first oppurtunity to screw the system with big rando knight chucking his leadoff triple attempt directly into the testicles of referee pat lackey.  chaos ensued, and after ejections to nepsor, lepak, crist and knight, the ladies were left with an incomplete team and the contest was called.
however, the aftermath of the game was far from over as the players from both sides stormed the sucka-free outdoor sports complex stands, attacking the fans and the spectators who hate baseketball.  amidst a chorus of boos and a shower of beer from the fans who hadn't been deflowered by the bluff/lady pummelmachine, all members of both squads were led away by members of the westminster police.
tomko paced the winners with a 3-homer, 3-double play line with 10 rbi.  goodpastor and mcclelland posted identical 9 for 10 lines with 4 rbi.  olsavsky finished with 3 psyche outs and a double play defensively.
for the ladies, knight garnered 4 hits and tipped in a double play.  nespor drove in 3.
