ALL SBL TEAM FROM WEEK 6 fred shaffer (donkey punch)- 4 games played, 4 homers, .600 average, 22 runs batted in, 2 assists, 14 double plays...in one week. some sbl-ers wouldn't mind having those stats over the course of a season. too bad for donkey punch he won't be around again. and even if he is, he won't be on their team anymore. nate tomko (serbian jew double bluffs)- in leading his bluffs to two huge wins to tie the sbl record for consecutive victories, tomko hit 18 of his 23 shots, drove in 24, nailed 7 homeruns, and tipped in 2 assists and 6 double plays. and went 2-0 in scrums and leveled bryan frankovich to change the tone of the entire game against hoosier daddy. brandon mckendry (hoosier daddy)- tho his team lost a hard fought game to the sj2b, mckendry's squad still managed to pull off 2 unlikely wins without their star psyche-out artist. the number one reason for that is b.mac, who more than picked up the slack. stats for the week: 21 hits, 22 rbi, 4 dingers, 7 double plays. katie kelly (serbian jew double bluffs)- in shelly goodpastors no-show, katie stepped in with a 10 for 12 performance against hoosier daddy with 7 runs batted in. ted gilliland (short bus all-stars)- an unusual 2-win week for teddy ballgame's all-stars was, shockingly, ignited by mr. atkins herself. teddy's ball-grabbing stats for week 6: 11 for 24, 11 rbi, 5 (gasp) homers, and three double plays. and the way he captained his team in those two big W's cannot be measured by any statistic. except wins, maybe. THE ROOKIE REPORT CARD FOR WEEK 6: - dank elly, xdeathx: C- even tho his team lost a pair and are now struggling to keep their heads above water, this can't be put on dank, who turned in a fairly solid week. he gets the low grade for not making a single shot for jukebox hero in his 2 innings played. - brandon mckendry, hoosier daddy: A+ he made the all-sbl team for this week. obviously he's getting an A. - anne carine, xdeathx: B- in her only game played, anne nailed 8 of 11 shots to elevate her average from somewhere around .200 to .500 with 4 runs batted in. the only reason she doesn't get the A? cause if she had been there for the second game, X would have won. the only reason she doesn't get a C for leaving? she's hella hot. - katie kelly, serbian jew double bluffs: A again, she's on the all sbl team, so she's got an A. limited p.t. keeps her from the plus. - ben smith, serbian jew double bluffs: A hit the nail-in-the-coffin homerun to exact revenge on hoosier daddy. finished the week with 10 rbi and a .450 average. - aryn christman, serbian jew double bluffs: B+ 10 for 16, 4 rbi and a double play in 3 games. it's a shame the bluffs are so deep, cause all these purple rookies can play. (and would most likely start on another team) NUMBERS: 70%- percentage of donkey punch's 33 runs that justin shaffer, who hadn't played a game in about 12 months, drove in last week. 118- career homeruns for nate tomko after his 7 homer week 77- career homeruns for all-time #2 jared clayton 9- total psyche-outs for the sbl in week 6, the same total dennis lackey had one week prior 8- consecutive shots, all but one of which were homers, missed by ted gilliland after his 4 straight homeruns against xdeathx 2- names on the list of sbl players who have hit a walk-off homer. the first was andy esenwein 2 years ago, the second was lee nespor last week. 0- number of nespors present for the last 2 games, which were played at the nespor house. both lee and phil left for undisclosed reasons.
