THE BEST (AND WORST) OF SBL WEEK 2

BEST INDIVIDUAL PERFORMACE, GAME: BIG RANDO KNIGHT, JUKEBOX HERO
any time someone bats a flawless 1.000 in a game, it's something to take note of.  even if big rando made nothing but middle doubles and collected a measely 2 rbi, hitting every single shot you take is the most difficult feat in baseketball to achieve.  against an undefeated team, it's even more of an accomplishment.

BEST INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE, WEEK: NATE TOMKO, SERBIAN JEW DOUBLE BLUFFS
after starting off shaky in his return to action, tomko got it rolling, endingthe week with 20 rbi, 6 homers and an average near .700 with 9 double plays and 3 assists while turning things around for his underachieving double bluffs and helping his squad finish with the only undefeated week 2.

BEST INDIVIDUAL PERFORMACE, PLAY:
BILLY WEISBERG, SHORT BUS ALL-STARS
with no outs and his team clinging to a 5-run lead (one that only innings prior had been as large as 11) against a surging and undefeated donkey punch squad, weisberg tipped in a missed jared clayton homer with 2 on to put all but the final nail in the enemy coffin and secure the all-stars initial win of the young campaign.

WORST INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE:
BRENDAN RADCLIFFE, PJ & THE LADIES
for a player who was being talked about as a potential rookie of the year candidate during the preseason, batting .118 with a lone rbi while your team drops it's 3rd and 4th straight just ain't gonna cut it.  and for the love of god, man, you're seven feet tall...tip in a double play!

TEAM OF THE WEEK: JUKEBOX HERO (1-1)
danielle hennon, brian mckendry, big rando, lee nespor and nate tomko edge out a win in this category over the double bluffs based entirely on the fact that as david, they slew the goliath that was xdeathx to earn win #1 of what is sure to be a promising season.

SCRUM OF THE WEEK: SERBIAN JEW DOUBLE BLUFFS/JUKEBOX HERO
the full-team scrum was entertaining enough as it lasted nearly three full minutes with shelly goodpastor of the bluffs eventually crossing the plate to claim the prize, but what occured during and lasted until well after the scrum and involved a handful of the league's top brass is what makes this the scrum of the week.

LACKEY OF THE WEEK: DENNIS
in a losing effort against xdeathx, the middle lackey put his mouth to good use for a psyche out, his hops to good use for a pair of double plays, and that crazy-mad jumper to good use for 3 hits and an rbi.  sadly, no other lackey could duplicate this mediocre line.

PJ & THE LADIES MOMENT OF THE WEEK: RANDO GOES OFF.  AGAIN.
while trailing by an insurmountable 5 run defecit early in the game, big rando went bananas against hoosier daddy, earning himself three innings of penalties, and thanks to his object chucking antics, a six inning loss for his ladies.  and, to make matters worse, helped the stat-hungry combo of bryan frankovich and mikey moroco pad themselves like a bleeding vagina.
