JUKEBOX HERO                                         8
THE SERBIAN JEW DOUBLE BLUFFS  37  (6 INNINGS)
the sbl finally managed to beat the double bluff in something, though it was just the scrum before the game.
a double bluffs versus the entire shenangahela baseketball league scrum left the double bluffs with the prospect of being the visiting team for the first time all season, as big rando took the ball to the 1 inch line, then took about 6 punches ot the kidneys, before the ball popped loose to sean hood, who carried it across the goal.
the purple people eaters seemed displeased.
so displeased, in fact, that the blew away the sbl record for runs in an inning in the top of the first by scoring an astounding 17 times.  they also set a new record for consecutive shots made with 15.
by the time jukebox finally got to bat, they put on a decent showing, all things considered.  they scored twice.
the bluffs kept pouring it on over the next few innings, scoring 5 in the second, 5 in the third, five in the fourth, then a pedestrian 3 in the fifth and 2 in the 6th.
even when the double bluffs own matt mcclelland and nate tomko suited up in the yellow mesh to give their players a test, the unheralded bluffs couldn't be rattled.
when the smoke cleared, shelly goodpastor had hit 13 of 15 shots with 12 rbi and a double play.  jon olsavsky hit 7 of ten, drove in 10, hit 3 homers and had a double play and a psyche out.  katie kelly nailed 12 of 14, and ben smith swished thru 9 of 14 with 3 homers, 10 rbi, 1 assist and a double play.
for jukebox, kassy brown hit 4 of 6 with a homer and 4 rbi, danielle hennon turned in a 3 for 3 outing, and nate tomko hit 2 of 3 with 2 homers, 3 rbi and 3 double plays.

PJ & THE LADIES  16
JUKEBOX HERO     3 (6 INNINGS)
the ladies finally found out what it's like on the other side of a 12-run blowout as they made mincemeat of the pukey jukebox heroes.
the ladies capped off 7 hits and 7 runs in the top of the first to get the ball rolling.  pj nespor hit all three of his shots, a rareity for mr. nespor or any lady, including a 2-run jack to cap the scoring.  in the bottom, the heroes threatened, advancing a runner to third with no outs, but three straight missed halted the rally.
the madness continued in the second, as sean hood got into the action with a 2-run homer to highlite a 5-run explosion, then big rando knight tipped in a double play to hold the heroes scoreless again.
when jukebox got into the game by scoring twice on 4 straight hits in the 4thm they were already in danger if being 12-runned.
and that's exactly what happened, as hood's run-scoring double in the 6th capped off the lady scoring, and jukebox xould only muster one in the bottom of the inning.
for the winning ladies, 2-1 on the week, rando went 7 for 10 with 2 double plays and 5 rbi.  hood finished with 6 hits and 4 rbi, while nespor hit half of his 10 shots.
in a losing effort, danielle hennon hit 4 of 5 and amber hoover drove in 2 runs.
