| sbl season 3, week 8 july 6 k-unit's house TRANSEXUAL HEARTBREAKERS OVER LUNCHBOX HERO BY FORFEIT WEENISES STRIKE BACK OVER LUNCHBOX HERO BY FORFEIT since team jukebox hero didn't have the cajonies to show up to k-unit's house for week 8's games, the sbl was left with no choice but to award a win to both of TLH's opponents. therefore, both the weenises and heartbreakers claimed easy wins, then played each other merely for statistical purposes. while the outcome of the game really didn't mean anything, the weenises pulled off an impressive 12-4 victory, and hell, anything that can give these shitrods momentuim right now is greatly needed. for the winners, dennis lackey hit 4 of his 9 shots and collected 6 runs batted in. brother pat nailed half of 10 attempts and brought in 3 while turning 2 double plays defensively. for the heartbreakers, jared clayton (2 solo homers), erin leyde (1 solo homer) and kurt rodemoyer (1 solo homer) accounted for all of the offense, while clayton tipped in 5 double plays in the field. the heartbreakers uncharacteristically commited 3 dumb thinds. VICE CITY MIRACLES 11 PJ & THE LADIES 2 matt mcclelland was once agin the driving force behind the miracles, dropping in 6 of 12 shots with 4 runs batted in to lead his team to a huge win over pj & the ladies. with the "W", the miracles pulled into a tie with the ladies for the final playoff spot, and now leveled the season series at 2 games apiece. jon biddle, as usual, was a monster on the glass, tipping in 4 double plays. jon also helped his team with 4 runs batted in, while captain ted gilliland drove in 3. for the ladies, who shot, well...like the ladies, with 6 hits over 9 innings, joel lepak was...gasp..high man with 3 hits and an rbi. package partner pj nespor drove home that other run. it should be noted that the miracles got bitch slapped in the scrums, dropping all 3 to the ladies. GONADS & STRIFE 9 MILF HUNTERS 2 the one-two punch of shelly goodpastor and nate tomko was just too much for the understaffed milf hunters to overcome, with the two all-stars combining to go 13 of 18 and driving in a total of 7 runs. the league's best leadoff hitter, goodpastor, hit 6 of her 9 shots and drove in 2, while tomko hit 7 of 9 and brought in 5. tomko also turned a pair of dp's, while adam stainbrook tipped in 3. lee nespor, lost in the pack, had a solid 5 of 8 outing, as well. the milf hunters acquired nolan vujovic for the game, but even with the impressive inside presences of nolan and tark, the will williamson rule couldn't be overcome. nolan and tark each drove in a run, with vujovic doing so in the shape of a 5th inning homer. the gonads wer able to climb into a first-place tiebreaker with the win, while the milf hunters lost their 4th straight. TRANSEXUAL HEARTBREAKERS 16 PJ & THE LADIES 4 another offensive outpouring for the heartbreakers, another shooting meltdown for the ladies. 3 homers and 6 rbi from erin leyde and 2homers and 7 rbi from jared clayton sparked the heartbreaker offense, and offense that seemed to be the only one able to get going at the odd hoop of kunit's house. jared shot an impressive 6 of 9 from the court and added a pair od double plays for the heartbreakers (9-7), who have won 8 of their last 10 and now have a firm hold on the #3 playoff spot and are rapidly nearing the #2 spot as the milf hunters continue to slide.. for the ladies, jon olsavsky hit a homer, drove in 3 and added an assist, while large rando knight gayed off for 4 dp's. the ladies have officially fallen out of the final splayoff spot with the loss. MILF HUNTERS 9 WEENISES STRIKE BACK 11 a last inning big salami from nolan vujovic and solo shot from mark mechanic made the final score reasonable, but the will williamson rule is just too much for even the best to overcome. tarkanick, acting as captain in kip corbett's abscence, made the boneheaded move of starting joel lepak over nolan, and it cost his team big. lepak's 2 homers in 7 innings of work aren't bad, but nolan's 2 and 5 rbi in a mere 2 innings are ridiculous. tark turned 3 double plays in a losing effort. for the weenises, dennis lackey stayed hot, dropping in 6 of 9 with a homer and 3 runs batted in. brian frankovich added 5 hits and 4 rbi, and pat lackey tipped in the lone weenis double play. the weenise have responded nicley after spending much of the year in the sbl's cellar, aand are not 7-9 and a game behind the miracles and ladies for the final playoff spot. the hunters stand at 10-6. VICE CITY MIRACLES 16 GONADS & STRIFE 13 a string of bits in the last inning garnered the gonads (11-5) 6 runs to make the game interesting and big ted sweat a little more, but the miracles were ultimately too strong to be beated this day. the game started in the g&s court, and the orange were able to score 5 in the 4th with nate tomko on the bench. when tomko checked in during the 6th, his prescence seemed to breathe life into the miracles, who caugh fire and poured in15 runs over the final 4 innings. matt mcclelland, always the offensive beast, hit 9 of 12 and drove in 5, while tipping in 4 double plays and a huge assist in the eye of tomko. jason biddle emerged from his slumber to go 5 of 12 with 4 batted in, and jonny bidd added 3 double plays. little eddie gilliland hit a two run homer in the 6th. for the losers, who have lost 2 of 3 to the miracles this season, shelly goodpastor hit 8 of 10 shots and drove in 5 and nate tomko hit 3 of 5 with a homer, and rbi and 3 double plays. back |
