| SBL 2004 PLAYOFFS SUNDAY, AUG 1 & SUNDAY, AUG 8 THE K-Y COURT AT ASSBANG FIELDHOUSE & THE TUBBIETRONIC SUPERDROME 2 SEED) HOOSIER DADDY (11-9) VS. 6 SEED) PJ & THE LADIES (hoosier daddy won the season series 2-1) PJ & THE LADIES 5 HOOSIER DADDY 17 (7 INNINGS) brandon mckendry's walk-off homer gave hoosier daddy the 12-run lead they needed in the bottom of the seventh, ending the game and the ladies postseason win streak at 2. the game was a blowout from the beginning, as hoosier daddy scored 4 times in the first after holding the ladies to one after the red-shirts loaded the bases with no outs. the onslaught only got worse as h.dad scored at least one in every inning, and the ladies all but thre in the towel when they took out red-hot greg lackey in the fifth for kassy browm, who hadn't hit a shot all day. but in her defense, she'd just gotten her wisdom teeth out and was probably a little stoned. not that that ever hurts dank, though. EDITIORIAL: why doesn't someone just beat these little fuckers? they're not good. if they start making shots, chuck one of them on their ass. they'll crawl into their shells real quick. come on ladies, nut up and ruin someone! anyway, the game sucked. here's the stats: the ladies got 3 hits from lenny crist to lead the 5-run bonanza. crist and big rando knight each drove in 2. for hoosier daddy, who rebounded from their last-game (a 10-9 loss to the ladies a week prior) with style, mikey chang, brandon mckendry and bryan frankovich all swished thru 7 hits. mckendry also nailed 3 homers and drove in 10 as chang tipped in 2 double plays. HOOSIER DADDY 7 PJ & THE LADIES 6 referee pat lackey, after putting himself into a situation he didn't want to be in (reffing a pj & the ladies game), made a season-ending, and possibly dynasty-ending, call in the bottom of the ninth and helped vault hoosier daddy to the playoff finals over everyone's favorite anarchists. with 2 out in the final frame, kevin "stud" frankovich launched a 2-run homer that would have won the game for his ladies. the ball caromed off the rim, and right into the hands of lady greg lackey, who was attacking the rim from first base. lackey went up for the wide-open assist, but hoosier daddy's mikey moroco came out of nowhere with a hard 2-hand stuff which knocked lackey on his ass. the ladies looked for the call, moroco pleaded his case, and pat lackey called the play clean. the ladies took the call with a grain of salt as they always do, beating up the sbl official and emptying both a water bottle and their bladders on his head before crying about facism for the rest of the evening. hoosier daddy rejoiced. greg lackey led the way for the ladies with a 6 for 8 performace with 3 runs batted in. both big rando knight and stud frankovich added a pair of double plays, but neither of the ladies big guns did much offensively. for the victors, bryan frankovich had a day, hitting 5 of 9 with a homer and 3 runs batted in. frankovich also tipped in 5 double plays. for the ladies, the loss marks the 4th straight season the ladies bowed out on a major downer. many insiders thought, with the addition of rookie phenomes stud and lackey and a ton of sbl experience, this could be the ladies year. they were wrong. most likely, the ladies won't be back in the same form as many of their veterans, including stalwarts knight and pj nespor himself, will most likely be working in maryland and/or married by next summer. if this is the case, and the ladies did play their final game on sunday, then this write-upper would like to say thank you to his favorite team for 4 seasons of greatness. all hail the ladies.
