THE K-Y COURT AT ASSBANG FIELDHOUSE

4 SEED)
TEAM DONKEY PUNCH (10-10)
VS.
7 SEED)
JUKEBOX HERO (4-16)
(donkey punch won season series 3-0)

JUKEBOX HERO               6
TEAM DONKEY PUNCH  9
consisting of big rando knight, greg lackey, danielle hennon, kassy brown and ted gilliland, jukebox hero put up a good fight against the higher seed, but were unable to get production from the bottom of their lineup, costing them a shot at dethroning the team that took home the left-eye last season.
while knight, lackey and hennon batted over .500 for the game, brown and gilliland combined to go 1 for 14, the only hit being a 7th inning single by teddy ballgame.
conversely, every member of donkey punch got at least three hits, with kurt rodemoyer being high man with 6.  rodemoyer also knocked in a 5th-inning two-run homer and drove in 6 rbi.  jared clayton contributed 4 hits and 3 rbi with an assist and 6 double plays.
the heroes, though they trailed big for most of the game, never threw in the towel.  a four-run 7th inning brought them to within striking distance, but a jared clayton double play ended the inning prematurely and the heroes weren't able to advance a runner past second for the rest of the game. (or the series, for that matter)
for the heroes, who fell behind 1 game to none, danielle hennon and greg lackey posted identical 5 for 7, 2 rbi lines, while the latter tipped in a pair of double plays.  knight tipped in 4 d.p.'s.

TEAM DONKEY PUNCH  18
JUKEBOX HERO                 0 (6 INNINGS)
a jukebox roster that, on paper, looks to be as good as any sported by the yellow mesh army in the past few weeks were blown out in 6 innings in a game eerily reminiscent of what donkey punch (then the transexual heartbreakers) was able to do last postseason.
neither all-star kip corbett or defending homerun champ lee nespor were able to collect a hit.  4-year veteran lenny crist didn't reach base, either.  in fact, the only hit for jukebox all game was a 3rd inning single by xdeathx's jason betts.
on the other side of the field, donkey punch couldn't miss.  after going down 1-2-3 in the top of the first, punch scored in each of the final 5 innings.
leading the attack was pat lackey who, obviously looking to prove those grumbling about his all-star status wrong, hit 8 of his 10 shots and drove in 4.  moroco and clayton both hit safely 4 times, with the latter driving in 3 and tipping in 2 double plays and an assist.  4 of kurt rodemoyer's 5 shots were homers, helping him drive in 9 runs.
the only other stat of recognition for jukebox was betts' second-inning psyche-out of crist.  no double plays, no homers, no rbi's, no chance of winning.
the victory marks clayton and rodemoyer's 6th consecutive playoff win, their last defeat coming in the first game of last season's second round.
