week 3 summary of games played 6/3 Bocce Heroes 10 Purple Undependables 1 neither team was able to produce more than 2 players for the opening game of week 3, so the SBL's first-ever 2 on 2 game was contested. bill weisberg shined for the bocce heroes(2-1) as he hit 8 of 22 shots with 7 rbi's and 4 homers. on the defensive side, weisberg turned an sbl record 7 double plays. chros hvizdak chipped in with 3 runs batted in on 8 of 21 shooting to push himself further off the bailey watch. for the lowely undependables(0-3), tino soto pacheco drove in the lone run. and looked pretty damn good doing it. NAACP 9 Purple Undependables 2 the naacp continued their impressive early season by improving to 3-1 via a 9-2 throttling of the putrid undependables(0-4). jamie "deadeye" morroCo hit 7 of 14 shots and drove in 4 for the victors. jon olsavsky homered and drove in 4 while turning 4 double plays. the undependables managed to scrape up gary "the spoiler" swogger to get the all important third player, but it helped little as the team combined for only 7 his in 30 at-bats. hamlet led the way with 4 and an rbi. the undependables are averaging only 2 runs per game. No Talent Ass Clown 13 PJ & the Ladies 7 the no talent ass clown improved to 4-0 on the season by clamping down the defense after pj and the ladies(0-3) exploded for 5 runs in the first 2 innings. cassie pyle made her much-anticipated sbl debut for the ass clowns, and while not contributing much statistically, it was her incredible mental abuse of pj nespor that turned the tide of the game. nate tomko drove in 10 runs on 9 of 14 shooting while hitting a homer and a grand slam. joel lepak also made 9 of 14 while driving home 3. joel contributed 2 double plays while nate turned 4. for the losers, rando knight made 7 of 12 attempts with a homer while driving in 2. pj nespor turned 2 double plays PLAYER OF THE WEEK- nate tomko TEAM OF THE WEEK- no talent ass clowns HOME!!!. |
