summary of games played june 17 @ ass clown outdoor arena

No Talent Ass Clowns  2

  
the naacp made up some much needed ground on the league-leading ass clowns by dealing them an 11-2 ass whupping to start week 5 of the sbl season.  the naacp improved to 4-2 while the ass clowns fell to 5-1.
  jon olsavsky had his best sbl game to date, going 8 of 13 from the field while driving in 3 and knocking down a homer.  however, olsavsky wasn't alone as sean hood hit a homer and drove in 5 and dave leishman drove in 3 rbi's.
  in the field, the naacp combined for 4 double plays. 
  for the ass clowns, joel lepak and nate tomko combined to go a miserable 5 for 25.  however, tomko tipped in 5 double plays in the field.
  the ass clowns led 1-0 into the seventh inning, when the naacp broke the contest open with 7 runs.

Purple Undependables  5

 
the naacp, perhaps a little overconfident following their beating of the ass clowns, needed jamie moroco's ninth inning home run to make their way past the undependables in the most exciting sbl game to date.
  moroco hit a no-out solo homer to break a 5 all tie in the bottom of the final inning.  it was her first homer of the season.
  also for the naacp, dave leishman went 4 of 8 from the field while driving in 4 runs.  jon olsavsky went four of nine while turning 3 double plays.
  for the losers, jeff meyers shined in his sbl debut, driving in three runs and tipping in a dp.  gary swogger knocked in 2 on a homer in the 6th, sparking a 5 run spurt.

 

PJ & the Ladies   3
Bocce Heroes       2

 
led by lenny crist's 5 for 16 outing, the ladies, playing without captain pj nespor, squeaked past the bocce heroes and improved their record to 2-4.  the heroes fell to 2-3.
  crist drove in 2 runs while hitting a homer and rando knight also hit a solo shot.  in the field, rando tipped in the game's only double play.
  ryan johnson drove in both runs for the heroes on 3 of 16 shooting.
