WEEK 4
games played june 10

PJ & The Ladies    8
NAACP                 1

the fourth week of the season kicked off with a tremendous upset  the winless pj & the ladies shocked the 3-1 naacp by an 8-1 score on the strength of rando knight's stellar play.

in the field, knight turned a personal-best 4 double plays.  and under the watchful (adoring?) eye of one michelle iacino, knight knocked in 6 of 15 shots with a homer and a pair of rbi's.  as if that ain't enough already, the big man also assisted with two offensive tip-ins.  lenny crist hit 7 of 15 with 4 rbi's.
for the losers, jon olsavsky drove in the lone run and jamie "deadeye" moroco stroked 3 doubles.

Purple Undependables  4
PJ & The Ladies          2

fresh off of their initial win of the season, pj & the ladies looked to make it 2 straight against the lowely undependables.  but perhaps pj & co. were a little overconfident as the undependables continued the night of upsets with a 4-2 win.  the game was just the offensive showdown everyone thought it would be..
gary swogger swoggerknocked in all 4 runs on a pair of homers for the winners.  hamlet helped out by going 3 for 5 at the plate.
the ever-popular hammy went 0-8 from the field, but wowed the crowd as always with his boyish good looks and shining personality.  also, he played under the duress of having quite the little concussion sustained during the scrub for the ball.
for the (once again) losing team, rando knight hit 2 of 10 shots with a homer and both rbi's.  in the field, knight and pj nespor combined for 4 double plays.

No Talent Ass Clowns  14  (6 innings)
Bocce Heroes               1

the fourth week of the sbl season came to a close with the red-hot ass clowns improving their record to 5-0 with a 14-1 porkslapping of the bocce heroes.  the heroes dropped to 2-2.
nate tomko led (and followed) the way for the victors, hitting 18 of 33 shots with a grand slam, a homer, and all 14 rbi's.  in the field, the ass clowns combined for 4 double plays.
for the losers, ryan johnson poured in 4 shots and drove in the lone run.  johnson was also credited with being his teams outstanding defensive player.
the game was called after 6 innings of intense, but clean, play.
