GAYLEM FAGISMS                     8

the ratchet thunder studs won their fourth straight on the strength of a 6 run beating of the fagisms, who fell to 1-2 despite playing with their top draft pick jeff meyers.
nate tomko went 6 of 9, hit three homers, and drove in 4 runs while tipping in an assist and 3 dp's for the winners.  mikey moroco hit on 5 of his 7 attempts, nailed a homer and drove in 2.  mike eicker hit a homer and drove in 4 while tipping in 3 dp's.

NASTY PILLOW  7
WEENISES         4    (10 INNNINGS)

the weenises jumped on nasty pillow for four runs in the bottom of the first, but could only muster 2 hits in the final nine innings and bowed to their rivals by 3 in extra innings.
jon olsavsky led off the top of the tenth by sinking a solo homer to give his team the lead, watched as his teammates gave him a couple more insurance runs, the double-played emily weircinski on the second shot of the home half of the 10th to secure his team's win.
altogether, olsavsky tallied 4 dp's, 4 rbi, and a pair of homers while earning his first psyche-out of the year.  sarah hazlett hit an impressive 8 of 14 shots to aide her team's cause.
for the weenises, jamie moroco went 3 of 8 with a pai of rbi's.

TEAM CRACKALAKALAKAN  1
GAYLEM FAGISMS                 9

despite kevin ramsey's 2 psyche-outs in 2 innings of work, team crackalakalakan fell to 0-4 on the year by virtue of an 8 point drubbing at the hands of the suddenly mighty fagisms.
for the victors, lauren rios hit 7 of 10 shots and drove in 2, while boyfriend/egomaniac jeff meyers hit 5 of 10 shots with a pair of rbi, an assist and a dp.  steve condo helped his team out by driving in 4 and truning a dp.

PINK BANDANA GIRLS  17
WEENISES                         4
the weenises closed out their second week by dropping a 13-run heartbreaker to division rivals the pink bandana girls (3-1), their 4th consecutive setback.  lenny crist remained optomistic after the game, however, and was quoted as saying "i have a hooked cock."
hooked cock or not, lenny hit his second career grand slam in the 8th inning for his team's only 4 runs.  david byknish was not to be outdone, as he led of the top of the ninth with a grand slam of his own, marking the first time in league history when both team's hit their respective grand slams.
for the winners, billy weisberg hit 7 of 12 shots with 4 rbi, 2 dp's and 2 assists.  sean hood hit half of his 12 attempts and drove in 5, and fred shaffer knocked in a pair while turning 3 dp's on defense.  byknish finished with 6 rbi's.
for the losers, nobodybesides lenny did anything worth typing.

PJ & THE LADIES  6
NASTY PILLOW      2

pj & the ladies maintained their hold on first place in the national division heading into week 3 by holding nasty pillow scoreless over the final 7 innings, while slowly chipping away at and eventually taking the lead.
for the ladies, always the picture of teamwork, each team member contributed at least an rbi.  and while not one single person shined above the rest, katie burger looked better than anyone else while playing, so we'll mention her name.

alright, big rando did turn 3 dp's and have an assist, so we'll put his name in, too.  but he's still no katie burger.

for the losers, catdaddy jon olsavsky hit a homer to bring in his squads lone pair of runs and tipped in 4 dp's.  nasty pillow fell to 2-2 while pj and the ladies bounced back to 3-1 following their first loss of the season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: BILLY WEISBERG, P.B. GIRLS (a pair of terrific all-around games to help his team win 2 more to keep pace with the thunder studs in the american conference)

TEAM OF THE WEEK: THE RATCHET THUNDER STUDS (defeated pj and the ladies on their own home court, knocking them from the ranks of the undefeated, then followed up with a big 6-run win over the vastly improved gaylem fagisms to imroved to 4 and 0 on the year)
