ratchet thunder studs  23
week 8 kicked off with the biggest rivalry in the league taking center stage, as the pbg and the thunder studs put on another show, totaling 20 runs in another 9 inning slugfest.  the studs, once again led by nate tomko and mark tarkanick, tallied 10 runs in the first inning and another 7 in the second to take a commanding 17-2 lead.  it looked as tho the pbg would be 15 runned for the first time in team history, but back to back 2 run innings in the 4th and fifth prevented the embarassment.
a fred shaffer grand slam highlited a 6 run 8th for the girls, closing to within 7 of the studs, but that would be as close as they would get.
tomko went 8 of 12 with 8 rbi's, 2 assists, 4 double plays and a pair of homers, while mark satanic dropped 9 of his 11 shots for 4 rbi and a dp, while tipping in a mikey moroco homer.  moroco helped out his team by rifling in 7 shots, while the deep-shooting mike eicker stroked a trifecta of homers.
for the pink bandana girls, jared clayton knocked in 3 homers and 6 rbi's, while fred shaffer rung up the studs for 5 rbi on 5 of 9 shooting.
in the real battle taking place on the court, nate tomko raised his record against sean hood to 4-7.

crackalakalakan  9
the gaylem fagisms put an end to their 3 game losing streak in style, scoring a league-record 32 runs and clearing the shot board twice to keep crackalakalakan winless.  an 11 run 9th put a close to a game that was out of hand by the 4th.
phillip jones had a monster game, hitting 13 of his 16 shots and driving in 5.  jeff meyers had his usual strong performance, driving in 9 on 9 of 17 shooting with a pair of homers, along with  pair of dp's on the defensive side of the ball.
sbl rookie of the year frontrunner andy esenwein drove home 8 of 17 shots with 11 rbi's and 3 homers along with his duel double plays, while ian hricik made his prescense felt with an 11 0f 16 game with 7 rbi's.

nasty pillowww          6
rathet thunder studs  7

nate tomko's last inning triple put the final run of the game on the board, and knocked nasty pillow from their 3rd spot in the league.  a second-inning hockey brutalizing  of fabes put tomko in the penalty box for a couple of innings, but the pillow were only able to score one run in his abscence, which proved fatal as the studs were held to their lowest point output of the season.
for the winners (14-2), mark tarkanick supplied the offense, hitting 3 homers and driving in 5 runs while tipping in 2 dp's.  nate tommko was held to a season low .500 batting average, but still managed to tip in 3 dp's.
for nasty pillow, the always impressive, and often ridiculed adam fabianhit a pair of homers and drove in 5, while jon olsavsky tipped in 2 double plays to go with his pair of psyche outs.
the studs put their hoffa centre demons to rest with a pair of wins.

weenises  11
the weenises watched their dim playoff hopes get stomped out by an angry bandana girls crew, who responded from their most lopsided loss of the year with a big win over the resurgent weisneses.
sean hood emerged from his slumber with a 3 for 5 game with a pair of rbi's before taking himself out in the top of the fifth so big ted gilliland could get his fist minutes as a contender.  jared clayton tied the league record with 5 homers, and drove in 7 runs while dropping 8 of his 12 attempts.
jason biddle hammered out 6 of his 12 shots, while justin shaffer drove in 5 and double played weenis kip corbett twice.
for the weenises, ween farmartino hit a pair of base-clearers to drive in 5 runs on 4 of 6 marksmanship.  billy weisberg hit half of his ten shots, while kippy corbett hit a homer and drove in 3.  and tried to kill fred.

weenises            8
pj & the ladies  9

once again led by big rando knight, perhaps the most underrated player in the league, pj & the ladies pulled of their biggest win in team history, coming from behind with 8 runs in the last 3 innings to ensure the weenises would be grillin' come playoff time.
the weenises looked to have the game locked up, leading 8-1 heading into the hom half of the 7th, put a knight homer and a pair of katie burger three-baggers closed the gap to 2.  after scoring another in the 8th, the ladies got a mentrek homer to tie the game in the ninth, the a timely triple by burger allowed big rando to be the hero, singling her homer with 2 down.
knight hit 8 of 13 shots with 6 rbi's and a dp, while the sex machine hit a homer and drove in 3.
for the weenises (4-12), billy weisberg had another all-star calibur game, going 8 of 10 with 5 rbi's, a pyche-out and double play.   kippy didn't try to kill anyone this game.

nasty pillow         9
gaylem fagisms  12

in a battle with huge playoff implications, the fags were able to leap in front of nasty pillow for the final playoff spot, tying the season series at 2 apeice while doing so.
jeff meyers once again made the mvp voters take notice, hitting 2 big two-out homers and driving in 5 runs for his squad.  jeff also turned 4 double plays and added a psyche-out.
andy esenwein had another solid outing, driving in 6 with a pair of homeruns.  phil jones led the team in percentage, hitting on 7 of ten attempts.
for nasty pillow  (8-8), losers of 2 in a row,  jon olsavsky supplied both offense and defense, hitting 7 of14 shots with a homer and7 rbi's, with 2 dp's and a psyche-out defensively.  sarah hazlett, coming back after a freak rhino-wrangling incident, swished thru 8 of her 14 shots.

pj & the ladies            14
team crackalakalakan  9

still looking for their initial win of the young season, crackalakalakan once again came up short.
pj nespor led his ladies to another shocking victory, hitting 9 of 15 attempts for 6 rbi's, and even more impressively, had an assist.  katie burger hit half of her 14 shots with 4 rbi's, while steven mentrek drove home 4 on 5 of 5 of 14 shooting.  mentrek also had an assist and tipped in a dp.
for crack, chris runyan hit 5 of 12 shots with 6 rbi's and a last-inning grand salami, while ryan martell wowed the crowd with three double-plays.  tim mclaughlin led his team with 6 made shots on 11 attempts after coming back from illness.
