FACT OR FICTION with kip and mcclelland |
1) THE WORLD ALL-STAR TEAM WILL BE MUCH STRONGER THAN THE SHARON TEAM COME SEASONS END |
2) XDEATHX WOULD BE BETTER SERVED IF THEY REPLACED JON BIDDLE WITH A BETTER SHOOTER |
thats also ficiton. i would agree that jon biddle's been in a bit of a slump at the plate, and has lost his confidence. he's simply been worrying too much about getting on base and should have the same balls out attitude that ad him shooting 7 homers in a game last year. i think he'll come around, but i also think until he does, he needs to sit himself out when his team is down and he's colder than my love life. 8 double plays doesn't win ball games when you're in a hole, and right now jon isn't able to help bring the smokers back. |
fiction, xdeathx/wsac is jon biddle's creation; you can't remove him from that team. i think xdxwsac just needs to find a groove. they do have a lot of new players (or players who haven't played much in previous seasons) and once they figure out how to get it together, they can deal with jon's... not so good shooting. not to mention that he almost makes up for it in double plays. |
3) SHELLY GOODPASTOR'S RECORD 9 HOMERS IN A GAME WILL LAST LONGER THAN HER RECORD 19 RBI IN A GAME |
another fiction. i only wish shelly had gotten to play a 9-inning game...that would have been something. however, i think the homerun record may fall later this year if clayton or tomko decide to give it a go. but the rbi record is a different horse. 19 rbi is incredible, and it was helped by her double bluffs teammates sticking to getting themselves on base instead of going for stats. i don't see any other teams playing this way and i think the rbi record will last at least till the rest of shelly's double bluff teammates are of age. |
fiction. from what i've seen, people tend to gun homers more than they try to rack up rbi's. to me it seems easier to make a homer every inning than it is to get at least 2 rbi's every inning. another factor is the team they play on. homeruns you can do by yourslef, rbi's take teamwork. |
4) THE SBL NEEDS MORE CHICKS |
FACT! as a single guy, when looking at the number of females i check out from time to time each week, i'm realizing that most of them are on my team, and only one of them is of age. yeah, i definately think we need to look in to getting cheerleaders, cage dancers, or some form of strippers... that or ben elliott and j.bidd need to work the phones a bit more. when's the last time you saw anything close to a female playing for pj & the ladies... and greg lackey doesn't count. |
fact. hell yeah, no question. girls are awesome, the more the better. i don't care if they're playing or just watching. and we could especially use more chicks like neely meyers. |
5) HOOSIER DADDY MADE THE CORRECT CALL WHEN THEY TRADED AWAY PAT LACKEY AND NOLAN VUJOVIC FOR DENNIS LACKEY ON DRAFT DAY |
6) NATE TOMKO SHOULD BE TRADED TO PJ & THE LADIES |
fiction. so what would happen if adolf hitler had become an american sympathizer and he and f.d.r. had shared tea and crumpets with winston churchill? yeah, it might have torn a hole in the space-time continuum, and ended all life as we know it. while i think a team consisting of pj, nate, rando and lenny crist would be a force to reckon with, i don't know how realistic it would be for the voice of anti-facism in the sbl to seek the services of the dictator himself. it reminds me of the wwf trying to team up stone cold steve austin with vince mcmahon. the redneck population never got behind it, and i'm not sure the sbl could get behind such a trade. (oh, and it has nothing to do with me losing the best player in the league) |
fact. gee, i hope the serbian jew double bluffs could make it without him. i think it would even out the league a little better. nate would add a lot of skill to an otherwise underskilled team. and he'd add a lot of cock size, too. nate's got a pretty good sized pecker... way bigger than mine. and way, way bigger than anyone currently on the ladies. i think another 10 inches of cock could be what the ladies need to turn their entire franchise around. but that's just my opinion.* |
we make 6 statements. two of the sbl's most influential members must decide fact from fiction, then they'll let us all in on what affected their choice. seen sportcenter? then you know how this works. playing this week are former sbl rookie of the year and sbl assistant to the traveling secretary matthew mcclelland and sbl vice president of east coast operations kip "paul" corbett.. matt's answers appear on the left, kippy's on the right. |
fact. dennis lackey is what keeps that team going in my opinion. he's got the clutch shooting, he's got the zany antics... why isn't he a lady? |
this is fiction...unless the k-y duo knew that dennis learned how to shoot, and also spent the winter thinking up ways to make jared clayton piss himself each week. fact is that at the time it was one of the most boneheaded things i've ever seen done, even though it was basically lackey for lackey. i don't think frankovich's crystal ball told him that dennis was going to be the baseketball messiah that he's been for hoosier daddy, and i also think there's plenty of season left to play before dubbing dennis the best lackey. |
that's fiction. if it hadn't been for the word "much" maybe i'd...no, who am i kidding. below is what i think the all-star teams might look like. there could be a few surprise surges, but the sbl has always been about sharon, and in my mind sharon can never consider themselves an underdog. i just hope it's not as ugly as last year. sharon: rando, nate tomko, billy weisberg, kip corbett, shelly goodpastor world: frankovich, clayton, j.biddle, mcclelland, d. lackey |
fiction, no team can be sharon. first off, they have nate and shelly, who could beat the world by themselves. then there's jon, rando, billy and maybe pj. you can't compete with that experience and talent. as for the world, it look like they won't have tark, clayton has been injured, and although mac is good, he can't do it himself. and i don't think mikey or frankovich could help much, either. if you ask me they've been getting lucky this year. |
