FACT. (there it is!) it's not that i don't
welcome new players. i did it with open arms for 4 years, as long as they were were able to fit in and
had a pretty good attitude. but unfortunately, the sbl has reached it's maximum occupancy for the
time being. i'd love for everyone who has any interest at all to be able to have fun in the sbl, but
the fact is that we just can't take on any more players. first of all, we can't have more than 8 teams;
sunday afternoons are only so long. second, with all of the behind the scenes work- stats, game summaries,
etc.- that has to be done, there just wouldn't be enough hours in the week for me to get everything
accomplished. i could go on for hours on why we have to turn people away, but i think you all get the
point. the fact is that until some of the players who have already established themselves move on,
there won't be any new additions.

FICTION, but we can't just let any random person
in the league. i don't know how exactly things are done now as to new people, but i suggest that any new
person should be approved by the board (mainly nate...it is his league, after all) before being allowed
in. i believe that most people deserve a chance, but if this person is thought of to be brought into the sbl
more for the purposes of winning as opposed to being somebody's close friend and just wanting to have some fun
for a few weeks over the summer, then i that person shouldn't ever be allowed to step foot on an sbl court.
if a person is approved to play, then he or she should make honest attempts to either do something productive for
the league (providing a court, reffing, etc.) or at least make friends with everyone. if not (and i can
name a couple names), then this person shouldn't be invited back for the next season. with that said, there
should be, at most, one rookie per team next year. |

FICTION. depends, obviously not as many as this year but
there should be some new players next year. there have been a lot of pretty cool new people this year
fer sure like jamie fabian, and others like terry hall. i' msure we could just limit it or something. |
