2001 SBL All-Star Game

East- 16
West- 6

after disposing of the two western playoff teams a few weeks earlier, the east once and for all proved it's dominance over the pathetic excuse for an sbl conference via a 16-6 beatdown in the first-ever sbl all-star game.
led by jon olsavsky (5 of 9, 3 homers, 3 dp's and 5 rbi's) and nate tomko (4 of 8, 2 homers, 2 dp's and 5 rbi's), the east jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after 2 innings and never looked back.  a four-run sixth supplied a 6 run lead, and after a pair of western homeruns narrowed the lead to 4, the east answered with 10 runs in the last three innings.
also for the victors, hamlet (filling in for the injured joel lepak) turned in a 4 of 7 performance with a homer and three rbi's, and sean hood went 3 of 9 with a homer and three rbis'.  jamie moroco went 2 for 6.
in a losing effort, league mvp candidate hammy and pj nespor posted nearly identical lines, with nespor going 4-of 9 with 2 homers and 2 rbi's and hammy adding one exta rbi to his total.  jeff meyers went 4 of 10 with 2 double plays and billy weisberg went 3 of 7 with the remaining rbi.  rando knight also played. just very poorly.
